A Family Legacy of Love: Hannah & Matt’s Wedding
There are weddings, and then there are the truly special ones—those woven with the threads of family history, heartfelt emotion, and pure joy. Hannah and Matt’s wedding day in the charming village of Wittering, Cambridgeshire, was one of those unforgettable days that radiated warmth and love from start to finish.

The couple tied the knot at All Saints Church, a place already deeply rooted in Hannah’s family history. Nearly four decades earlier, Hannah’s parents, Mitch and Glen, also exchanged their vows in this very church. One of the most touching moments of the day was the recreation of a treasured photo from their wedding day—a beautiful nod to the past as Hannah stood in the same spot her mother once did, now a bride herself.

The morning was filled with excited energy as both the bride and groom got ready just a few doors apart—Hannah and her bridesmaids at her parents’ home, and Matt with his groomsmen at their own house. Their sweet daughter Cara, beaming with excitement in her role as flower girl, stole everyone’s heart as she eagerly awaited seeing “mummy in her princess dress.”

And what a dress it was—a vision of delicate lace and soft tulle, with intricate sequin detailing that sparkled just enough to match Hannah’s radiant smile.

Just a few doors down, Matt was surrounded by his groomsmen as the excitement built. Laughter echoed through the house as ties were adjusted, buttonholes pinned, and the final touches made. Before heading to the church, the lads gathered to share a small shot of “liquid courage” – a light-hearted moment that eased the nerves and marked the start of an unforgettable day. You could feel the camaraderie and love between them all, setting the perfect tone before Matt made his way to the church to wait for his bride.

Although the day began with rain, the skies cleared just in time, casting a golden glow over the village. As the church filled with loved ones, Matt waited at the altar with an eager smile. Then came the moment—Hannah arrived with her father in a ribbon-decked Range Rover, ready to follow in her parents’ footsteps and begin her own love story.

The ceremony was tender and emotional, filled with hymns, vows, and the joyful support of their guests. It truly felt like two families becoming one. As the newlyweds stepped outside the church, they were met by a magical shower of iridescent bubbles, blown by their cheering guests—an unforgettable scene full of light and love.

Just down the road, the celebration continued in the village parish hall, a beautifully familiar and cosy setting for the reception. Heartfelt speeches brought both laughter and tears—from the proud father of the bride, to Matt’s emotional words, to the best man’s reminiscent toast, there wasn’t a dry eye in the room.

A relaxed wedding breakfast buffet gave everyone a chance to mingle, share stories, and soak in the joy of the day. As evening guests arrived, the music kicked off and the dance floor came to life. Hannah and Matt shared their first dance as husband and wife, followed by a sweet and sentimental father-daughter dance that had guests reaching for tissues once more.

And then… the conga line! Yes, the dance floor turned into a full-on celebration as guests joined arms and danced their way around the grounds of the parish hall, laughter echoing into the night.
From meaningful moments to joyful chaos, Hannah and Matt’s day was a true celebration of love, family, and the stories that bring us together. A day to remember, and a legacy continued.
