Amelia & Jack's Beautiful Wedding at Sissons Barn

Well... what a day!

If there was ever a wedding that felt like summer had arrived, it was Amelia and Jack's beautiful wedding at Sissons Barn.

With temperatures reaching around 29 degrees, the sun was shining from start to finish, the drinks were flowing and honestly, the whole day just felt full of happiness.

I started my morning with Amelia and her bridal party at the gorgeous Welby Cottage in Market Deeping, whilst Gareth headed over to spend the morning with Jack and the boys.

One of my favourite things about wedding mornings is that lovely mix of excitement and calm before everything begins. The girls were helping each other get dressed, fastening bracelets, adjusting necklaces and sharing those little moments that seem small at the time but end up meaning so much when you look back at the photographs.

One of the most touching moments of the morning came as Amelia's mum, Claire, carefully laced up the back of her daughter's wedding dress. It was a quiet moment between mother and daughter, but one filled with emotion as the reality of the day began to sink in.

And what a dress it was.

Honestly... it was gorgeous.

The kind of dress that somehow feels both timeless and completely effortless at the same time. The delicate floral lace, the beautiful lace-up back, the soft flowing skirt and those tiny little sequins that caught the light every time she moved... it was just stunning.

I loved that the sparkle wasn't overpowering. Instead, it shimmered so subtly in the sunshine that you'd suddenly catch it as she turned and think "oh wow."

Once her veil was in place and everything came together, she looked absolutely beautiful.

Before heading to the ceremony, Amelia shared a first look with her dad, Darren, in the garden.

There's something so lovely about giving dads a quiet moment to see their daughter before everyone else does. Seeing his daughter dressed and ready for her wedding day clearly meant the world to him, and there were certainly a few emotional eyes watching on.

A lovely surprise was still to come.

A beautiful vintage Rolls-Royce arrived to take Amelia to the ceremony and her reaction was priceless. Completely taken aback and absolutely delighted, it was the perfect arrival for her journey to Sissons Barn.

Meanwhile, over at Sissons Barn, guests were arriving and anticipation was building.

As the ceremony approached, Jack stood waiting for Amelia's arrival. In those final moments before the doors opened, he looked up towards the ceiling, clearly trying to hold back the emotion that was building.

But as soon as he turned and saw Amelia walking towards him, the tears came.

And honestly, there probably wasn't a dry eye in the room.

It was one of those moments that reminds you exactly why weddings are so special.

The way he looked at her said absolutely everything.

After a beautiful ceremony, Amelia and Jack finally became husband and wife and stepped outside into the sunshine to huge cheers from family and friends.

The rest of the afternoon felt exactly how a summer wedding should feel.

Relaxed.

Happy.

Full of laughter.

Guests enjoyed drinks in the sunshine, chatted with friends and family and simply enjoyed being together.

There was also a very special guest who made a brief appearance.

Franklin, Amelia and Jack's much-loved dog, arrived to join the celebrations looking incredibly smart in his little tuxedo harness and bow tie.

With temperatures soaring, his visit was kept fairly short to make sure he stayed comfortable, but he certainly made the most of his moment in the spotlight. Clearly excited to see his humans, Franklin was greeted with plenty of fuss and attention from guests before posing for a few photographs with the newlyweds.

As dog lovers ourselves, these moments always make us smile. After all, weddings are about celebrating with those you love most, and for many couples that includes their four-legged family members too.

Shortly after, before everyone sat down for the wedding breakfast came the speeches, and they were brilliant.

Amelia's dad delivered a speech that had everyone laughing one minute and wiping away tears the next. The perfect balance of humour and heart.

Then came Jack's speech.

And once again, emotion took over.

Listening to him talk about Amelia was genuinely lovely and you could see just how much she means to him.

The speeches continued with not one, not two, but three best men, each bringing their own stories, humour and memories to share. The Maid of Honour rounded things off beautifully, celebrating the friendship she and Amelia have shared and leaving the room smiling.

After the wedding breakfast, whilst guests relaxed and chatted, Amelia and Jack got to enjoy one of Sissons Barn's best little traditions.

A tractor ride.

The two of them were whisked away through the countryside and down towards the river, giving them an opportunity to spend a little quiet time together away from the celebrations.

These are often my favourite moments of a wedding day.

No timetable.

No expectations.

Just a newly married couple enjoying a few quiet moments together.

The golden evening light was absolutely beautiful and gave us the perfect opportunity to capture some relaxed portraits before heading back to the party.

Back at the barn it was time to cut the beautiful cake that had been on display and teasing the guests, followed by their first dance and then a packed dance floor.

The energy in the room was amazing and the celebrations carried on well into the evening.

And as the sun began to set, and everyone danced the night away, it was the perfect ending to a truly wonderful day.

Amelia and Jack, thank you for allowing us to capture such a beautiful day. It was an absolute privilege to witness so many wonderful moments and to spend the day with such a lovely group of family and friends.

It was an absolute joy from start to finish and we loved every single minute.
